About the role

The Amazon Data Specialist provides strategic and operational support to the Amazon sales channel, assisting in growth plans, dealing with listings and deal plans, forecasting sales, and managing stock related issues. With a hand in multiple areas of the business, they are our resident Amazon experts. An analytical, proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills are critical to success in this role.


Your Key Tasks:

  • Manage all sales-related daily tasks on Amazon Vendor Center
  • Manage and planning inventory and provide accurate sales forecasting
  • Organise and implement growth strategy for Amazon top events 
  • Plan and execute product launching strategy for all new products
  • Maintain, optimise, and improve our listings on a regular basis
  • Resolve and identify business-critical issues such as listing errors, product defects, miscommunication, etc.
     

Stakeholder Management and key interfaces:

The Amazon Data Specialist will lead the relationship and be the day-to-day interface with the Amazon Brand and Vendor Specialists. Collaborating to enhance in stock %, volume forecasting, initiating orders and modelling of promotions. You will be the go-to for all things Amazon and acquire the skills to increase traffic and conversion by enhancing our organic search rankings on site and continuously auditing and optimising our content as you go. You will empower the team with insights into performance and recommendations which will be key to driving growth. Succeeding on Amazon is a game; to win, we must employ numerous strategies and tactics to stay head of the A9 algorithm and outmanoeuvre our competitors.

You'll own customer collaboration and have the chance to work alongside some of the most progressive minds in Retail. You're a detailed critical thinker, quick learner, and have the intuition to chart the unknown.

Skills and Experience 

  • Highly adept at data analysis using Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Knowledge of Amazon algorithm
  • Skilled at creating accurate sales and financial forecasting models with specific variables and parameters for the Amazon sales channel
  • Familiarity with OLAP tools and ability to learn new tools on the fly
  • Highly competent with Microsoft 365 suite, in particular Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, and Planner
  • Skilled at extracting data from SAP ECC, SAP BW or SAP S/4HANA
  • Hands-on e-commerce or online marketplace experience.
  • Knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central and paid advertising experience (pay per click) is a plus.
  • Digital Marketing Experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong ability to multitask.
