Direct to Consumer (DTC) Finance Analyst
DTC Services is a new platform – implemented in 2019- to host all Direct to Consumers initiatives, with 3 main pillars: stores (DTC), e-commerce DTC (e.g. Stock-on) and Home Delivery (e.g. ICNow.com). Home Delivery include the IC sales (all brands) on Uber Eats, Deliveroo or Glovo platforms. And E-commerce DTC could include other categories (such as BPC) done on Shopify for example.
All these pillars have the same needs when looking at back end: managing flows of operations, getting information, managing payments, as a summary a full and efficient set of processes (record to report, purchase to pay and order to cash), including controls.
The DTC Finance Team manages the deployment and organization of DTC Finance Shared Services, the accounting rules & controls -aligned with Unilever requirement- and the UL management reporting of businesses statutory reporting of Legal Entities dedicated. We operate using a specific ERP called Netsuite (Oracle).
Key Interactions
The DTC Finance analyst will interface with the following stakeholders:
• DTC Finance Director / DTC Global Controller
• Unilever Countries Controllers (MSO)
• Operating Center (OC)
Key Accountability
The key activities are:
Reconcile incoming sales from API vs Netsuite
Perform weekly payment reconciliation with payments providers (PSP)
Post weekly bank charges from payments providers
Prepare monthly P&L
Prepare monthly journal entry into SAP
Perform control execution as per control framework
Follow up finance issues where needed
Managing Group timelines, Monthly Closures
Propose improvement and efficiencies to the IT DTC team.
Knowledge and Skills
We are looking for an analyst experienced in accounting, hands-on, and good communication skills.
Associate graduate / bachelor graduate in accounting or finance
Independent, hands-on and good problem solver, with good communication skills
The candidate is fluent in English (verbally and written)
Ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally
Commercial and Financial acumen
Experience Required
1+ year experience in accounting and control
Experience working in an international context,
Previous experience in Audit Firm, or FMCG Business are a plus
