Head of Operations

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

Scope:

Responsible for the financial accounting of Univest Company BV and efficient delivery of operational services to clients. Has the oversight over outsourced operational activities to service providers and leads the service review meetings to ensure SLA agreements are met. Ensures an efficient and flawless delivery of internal back office operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Statutory accounting of Univest Company BV 

o Annual accounts

o Quarterly reporting financial statements

• Univest Company budget 

o Preparing and monitoring annual budget

o Allocating client fees 

• Inhouse investment back office operations 

o Trade management, cash management, corporate action processing (internally managed portfolio’s)

o Operational investment services for Clients 

• Oversight and management over outsourced operations (custody, administration, collateral management)

o Ensure service provider delivery meets the expectations. Lead service meetings, review audit and error reports and timely follow issues when these occur.

o Conduct regular review of service provider to ensure terms and conditions are competitive to market.

• Internal control

o Ensure process documentation is up to date

o Univest Company Internal Control report 

KEY DELIVERABLES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

o Univest Company financial accounts and audit

o Preparing and monitoring Univest Company budget

o Flawless delivery of investment back office operations (internal and outsourced)

o Management of internal processes 

COMMUNICATION:

The Head of operations interacts with accountants, external service providers and clients. 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

o University degree in Economics or Finance / Higher education (HBO)

o Solid knowledge of financial/ business controlling (RC, BC, QC)

o Minimum 5-7 year experience in the (institutional) asset management industry

o Knowledge of financial markets and financial instruments 

o Track record in driving efficiencies in back office operation

o Experienced in oversight and management of outsourced operations

o Strong analytical skills

o Accurate
