The role concerns development of technologies in the area of meat replacers, mainly high-moisture extrusion. The person will be a part of team working on new process design/re-redesign.

The scope of the job includes:

1. Co-designing experiments,

2. Running tests in the Pilot Plant and/or laboratory,

3. Conducting analysis of ingredients and products in analytical lab

4. Summing up, reporting and base interpretation of the results

5. Presentation of conducted work and the results to the project team

The role may include occasional travelling to the production facility.

Past scientific or working experience with meat replacer processing technologies, particularly extrusion will be a big advantage.

The job requires frequent interactions with team members of different background: good communication and teamwork is essential part of the job.

The job includes regular presence in the Hive (ca 50%) also during corona times. That includes all practical work in Pilot Plant and or Lab, tastings etc. Data analysis and reporting at corona time should be done from home, so having suitable 'office' at home is important. The team consist of people located at different locations and frequent virtual connects are key for seamless communication.


Key requirements:

Fluent English

Foods processing background

Good data analysis skills

Ability to work in Pilot Plant/Laboratory environment: sufficient skills to operate processing equipment (after training)

Familiarity with work in the physical/chemical lab

MScs Foods Processing, Food Science, Processing Engineer

Minimum of 6 months of work or internship experience in processing of meat analogues
