Regulatory Affairs & Deploy Specialist

In this role you will coordinate the technical deployment and regulatory compliance for launches of products in Beauty & Personal Care, Home Care (and possibly Foods & Refreshment). You will be part of the Unilever International (U.I.) business effort that aims to roll out (mostly) existing products into new, in this case European markets with speed. You are knowledgeable on regulatory compliance in EU is especially important for when products are imported outside of Europe. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with colleagues throughout Middle Europe (MEU) with an initial focus on Benelux to support the growth plans.

Delivery & deploy skills:

• Business awareness: understands key business drivers of UI and ways of working within MEU (Nordics, BNL, DACH, Italy)

• Help deployment team to navigate local requirements WRT to claims, formulations, compliance etc. to fast track in market delivery

• Delivery focus: consistent track record of delivering tangible output

• Collaborate with SU, R&D team to suggest necessary modifications needed to make the formulation compliant

• Coordination with different category teams, RDCs across Middle Europe

• Engage with UI Marketing and NPD teams to help faster closure

• Influence: able to convince and defend own agenda / objectives with internal stakeholders

People skills:

• Communication skills: able to communicate in a relevant way to audience

Job Fundamentals:

• Understanding of regulatory requirement of Middle Europe for BPC, Home Care and F&R categories

• Drafting response to any regulatory query from local authority

• Work with EU safety/quality teams to make sure 3Ps we take on board are safety/quality compliant

• Robust documentation to support knowledge retention and delivery

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP and Teams.

• Proficient in at least English and Dutch. Ideally also in French, German and Italian

Additional Info

• You will report into the Benelux BPC Local Deploy Manager and will receive guidance from a European Regulatory Affairs manager.
• You have your base in the Benelux office at Hofplein19 in Rotterdam, however your direct working relationships will be quite spread out across the European business.
• Much of the work will/can be done virtual.
• This is a new role, setup to aid in the growth of U.I. business. It will be expected of you to help shape the role and a high degree of autonomy is required once operational.
