Benelux MCO - Portfolio & Innovation (Freelance)

JOB PURPOSE
Working in a regional and country environment as part of the CCBT SC team supporting/driving the SC agenda. The P&I role works within the CCBT BLX organisation to ensure products manufactured inhouse and external manufacturers 3PM meets Unilever specification, standards and regulatory requirements and provides support for OTIF new product introduction (innovation, rejuvenation, activity requests), execution management and performance improvement.
 

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
 

I.  Project Management

• Project and portfolio responsibility for the end to end supply chain, with key accountability to ensure all plan, source, make and deliver activities are completed on time in full;
• Supports category organization in Make or Buy studies; including participation in the scoping and selection of new 3PMs; including Activity requests
• Based on R&D brief ensures Unilever requirements are properly communicated and well understood by 3PMs
• Based on R&D brief, ensures 3PM technical capability assessment and conduct process validation before start-up of new product or after making any significant change in material/product/process.
• Ensures transfer plan / documents from R&D for new product innovation launches are implemented in ongoing production
• Ensure 3PM follows raw and pack material / finished good specification providing by Unilever
• Coordinate relevant 3PM master information upload in SAP (sku codes, logistic data, etc )
• Identifies and manages VIP projects involving MCO 3PM network
• Support 3PM Procurement with product design raw/pack details, volumes and MOQ to enable costing breakdown.

II. Portfolio and Operations

• Ensures adequate communication channels are in place between 3PM & Unilever
• Agree with and prepare with the relevant planning cluster team to have the correct level of trade-offs within Service Level Agreements; Stock, MOQ, etc; Manages material wastage/ write off / ending stock control for 3PM stock.
• Support CCBT SC manager in specific portfolio management programs (Smart Complexity/Survivor), focusing on the 3PM network; monitors and reports KPIs and provides data aggregation and analysis as needed at the appropriate level
• Coordinate to find solutions when a lack of ingredient affects customer service (alternative supplier, materials, etc) in collaboration with VF, Procurement and R&D
• As part of USLP promote the right safety culture within the 3PM

III. Quality Assurance

• Monitoring; Verify and monitor quality performance in operation at 3PM; works along with PG / Cluster Quality for quality issue resolution
• Improvement; track 3PM improvement plan which has been aligned between 3PM and QA.
• In consultation with PG-QA drives intensive care and non-conformance monitoring
• Notifies Cluster Quality Team potential non-conformances that may lead to a marketplace incident

KEY REQUIREMENTS

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Engineering / Technical background
• Ideally at least 3 years experience in SC covering Quality, Source, Make and / or Deliver Manufacturing or Planning experience
• Strong affinity with Manufacturing and Good Knowledge of Process and Technology / Equipment associated with an FMCG company
• Proven & recognized achievements in project management
• Knowledge and experience in Quality in Innovation for Manufacturing including statistical analysis and process control, supplier assessment and capabilities, risk assessments for raw materials / packing materials / formulations and validation of in –house and co-making operations
• SAP – Interspec Skills
• Financial awareness / cost understanding
• Category specific experience, understanding of the materials conversion processes
• Dutch language: Professional Working Proficiency
