Divisional Supply Chain Finance Analyst
Supply Chain Finance is a key pillar of Unilever’s Finance community; a global community more than 1,300 Finance professionals across factories, MCO and Supply Chain Companies with core responsibilities to drive Gross Margin and Return on Assets whilst safeguarding assets with strong risk management. The value at stake within the Supply Chain is very material; with cost of goods sold in 2017 being more than €30bn, capital spend of €1.7bn and inventories on the Balance Sheet of around €4.2bn.
Within each of our three Divisions (Home Care, Personal Care, Foods & Refreshment), the Supply Chain enables business growth and strong financials returns through development of strategy and disciplined execution across a broad agenda encompassing costs, assets and agility.
The Role: The Global Supply Chain Finance Manager works with the Divisional Finance directors and their team to drive value through a range of levers including network strategy, capital allocation, innovation, and capacity investments and the 5S cost savings program. The role reports to the Global Supply Chain Divisional Finance Director and is a key member of the Corporate Supply Chain Finance team, working closely with peers across all Divisions and Clusters.
The role offers a great opportunity for the successful candidate to develop a global network across Supply Chain and Supply Chain Finance, covering Clusters and the Divisions; to play a role to deliver value through capital efficiency, savings and new supply chain models; and to build experience in supply chain strategy development. This role will be focused on:
Leading Global BPC Supply Chain Finance Target setting, Performance Management, engagement on Material inflation and pricing discussions, engagement on key performing/ non-performing cells, engagement on transformation initiatives, capex evaluation, sustainability projects and network redesign proposals
Leading the Global Supply Chain Change programs/ transformation agenda. This will include project review, business case evaluation, approving the investment funnel in line with global affordability guidelines and engaging with units on driving strategic transformations
This role requires a lot of Senior management engagement to help drive decisions and assist in the delivery of Unilever’s financial ambition, by playing an active part in delivering value to maximize our competitiveness in the market.
Skills & Experience Required
CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent
Self-driven and able to work independently
Excellent analytical & numerical skills
Ability to respond under pressure
Strong communication skills both oral and written
High level on Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
Working knowledge of existing UL financial systems (SAP, Ifinance / Victory etc.) is required
